Six honest answers

How does 613OS handle fund accounting?
613OS is building a fund ledger into the product: balances by household and by fund, aging, printable statements and credits on account. It launches with our pilot shul in December 2026, after a parallel run beside the shul's current system until the treasurer's numbers match. Today, every invoice and payment is tracked per household and per fund, the Annual Contribution Statement goes out each year, and invoices and payments sync to QuickBooks Online (QuickBooks Desktop is quoted separately).
Who is the payment processor, and what does processing cost?
Process with 613OS Payments and your plan fee is credited back for as long as 613OS Payments is your processor of record for tuition, dues and donations; card and ACH processing fees apply, and the credit ends 30 days after notice if you switch processors. On 613OS Payments, bank payments are $1 flat and cards are 2.9% + 30¢; each organization signs its own merchant application, payments are deposited directly to its own bank account, and 613OS never holds the money.
What do texting and WhatsApp cost?
Email is included; texting and WhatsApp are priced per message after carrier approval — we confirm your allowance at onboarding.

Texting switches on for each account after the phone carriers approve its business-texting registration, which usually takes about three weeks from the start of setup. Until then, every message goes by email, which works from day one.
Does 613OS handle High Holiday seats and honors?
High Holiday seat requests, seat billing and seat assignments (section and seat numbers on the member's record), and the kibbudim log with pledges and a who's-due list, are included today. The interactive sanctuary seat map is scheduled for spring 2027.
Will a shul see school modules?
The school edition is a separate product on the same platform; a shul never sees school modules. If your shul also runs a school, each one gets its own account, with its own receipts and its own merchant account.
What is 613OS's track record?
613OS was founded in 2026. Our pilot school is onboarding in October 2026 and our pilot shul in December 2026. We are early, and we do not publish reviews or ratings we do not have yet. 613OS is a Merch FinTech company. Its founder, Yoni Harel, works in payments as a merchant-services agent and also runs Remote Heroes, the virtual-assistant company whose trained operators staff Office Assist.

Where ShulHub is strong

  • Gabbai/kibbud workflows: honors, pledges and who-is-due reporting
  • Zmanim widget and automated yahrzeit messages

Choose ShulHub if your institution is only a shul and gabbai reporting, event seating and automated yahrzeit messages are your core need; 613OS has no seat map until spring 2027 and no automatic honor rotation until 2027.
