Sound familiar?

The problems this solves

01

The paper attendance ritual

Clipboards to the office, someone typing them in (or not), and no record anyone can search when a question comes up in February.

02

Parents learn about absences at 6pm

A child marked absent at 9am should trigger a parent text at 9:05 — not a conversation at pickup about a kid who never arrived.

03

Camps and preschools have no option

Full SIS platforms are overkill for a preschool or day camp that just needs to know who's here, who isn't, and that every parent was notified.

In the beta today

What it does

One-tap daily attendance

Teachers mark present, absent, or late from a phone or tablet in under a minute per class — no clipboard, no re-typing.

Instant absence alerts

A student marked absent with no reported reason triggers an automatic text to parents within minutes — safety first, always.

Attendance on the student record

Every day's status lives on the student's record alongside payments, forms, and communications — one family, one file.

Late & early-dismissal tracking

Tardies and early pickups logged with timestamps, connected to your carpool and dismissal workflows.

Patterns & summaries

Absence streaks and attendance-rate summaries surfaced to the office so chronic patterns get a caring phone call early.

Camp & preschool check-in mode

Morning check-in by bunk or class with a live headcount — built for the settings that need simple more than sophisticated.

9:05am

when a parent knows about a 9:00am absence

The honest part

Why we call it beta

Most platforms oversell. We'd rather tell you exactly where this tool shines and exactly where a dedicated SIS beats it.

✓ What it does well

Daily and session-based attendance, automatic parent notifications, timestamps, student-record history, and summary reporting. Ideal for preschools, ganim, day camps, after-school programs, and smaller schools.

◐ What it doesn't do (yet)

Period-by-period secondary scheduling, state-mandated reporting formats, or seat-time compliance calculations. If your school needs those, we'll say it straight: run a dedicated SIS for attendance and let 613OS handle everything else — we integrate with QuickSchools, Gradelink, and others.

✦  Quick answer

What is school attendance tracking software?

School attendance tracking software records daily presence, lateness, and absences, notifies parents automatically, and surfaces patterns over time. The 613OS attendance feature (currently in beta) covers daily and period attendance with parent notifications — schools needing state-reportable attendance should pair it with a full SIS.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does the beta attendance feature include?

Daily and period attendance from any device, automatic parent notifications for unexplained absences, late tracking, and pattern reports. It covers the operational core most yeshivas and day schools need day to day.

What doesn't it do yet?

It is not built for state compliance reporting or seat-time filings. Schools with regulatory attendance requirements should keep that function in a full SIS — 613OS syncs rosters with SIS platforms so both systems stay current.

Are parents notified when a child is absent?

Yes. An unexplained absence triggers an automatic WhatsApp, SMS, or email to parents within minutes of attendance being taken — closing the safety loop without the office making calls.

Can we see attendance patterns over time?

Yes. Per-student and per-class trends surface chronic lateness and emerging absence patterns early, giving the hanhala data for the conversation before it becomes a crisis.
